My dad tried installing the "In-Fisherman Freshwater Trophies" game on his computer, which didn't meet the system requirements. He claims that after installing the game and then installing DirectX 9b (required, on cd-rom), the computer froze and gave the message that it had just encountered a serious error. Upon reseting the machine, nothing came up on screen (no POST) and two long beeps sounded. The beeps repeat indefinately. So all the computer will do now when turned on is beep.

    Specs are:
    Windows XP Professional
    ECS L7VMM2 Motherboard
    Onboard video
    AMD, forgot the speed
    512mb RAM

The recommended requirements for this game are:
    P3 866MHz
    256mb RAM
64mb 32-bit Video Card compatible with DirectX 9

Do you think that the onboard video didn't like DirectX 9, and took down the rest of the mainboard with it?

    Thanks.

hmmm..... this seems... well different.. and about your computer.. everything seems to be up to snuff, except for the video... usually a software problem like that wouldnt do that to a computer...from what i can tell, you fried your graphics card, and those beeps are telling you whats wrong... i suggest go out and buy a new agp graphics card and give it a shot.. or if you have a spare agp/pci graphics card, try pluggin em' in... but you might have fried your chipset :( and u might have to buy a new mobo.. hope i was some help!
