Thanks to your tutorial on Malware removal, it appears that I successfully got rid of annoying malware this weekend - winfixer, Blackworm popups, etc. Ran all the anti-spyware stuff, Hijack this, and then Vundo. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

My question is maybe silly (?) Is there such a thing (i.e. software) as Winfixer2006? I mean, is it a product that one can purchase (not that I would ever do so)? Or is it completely fictional?

If it is real, why would anyone ever deliberately use it?
