I have an old Dell E7450 that was obsolete and "retired" from my former employer. I retrieved it from the recycle table. Now I am trying to repurpose it. I don't have official "ownership", so I can't go to Dell service.

My root issue is that BIOS is locked and does not allow USB Boot, so I can't even stick a USB boot stick in it.

Have tried bios-pw.org , entered my units serial-6FF1, plus tried all available suffices. Tried CTL+ Enter, CTL+Enter+Enter, and other interweb suggestions.

Just for the hell of it, I pulled the CMOS battery. Left it out overnight. Reassembled in the AM. No change! :(

Any suggestions would be appreciated! TIA

Then you're out of luck.

Perhaps, maybe, you can try resetting the BIOS by 'shorting' the 2 BIOS pins. Look in the manual.

Press f12 or f10 which ever gives you a one time boot device select screen during boot. It will ask what device you want to boot from, pick USB. All without being being in the bios.
BTW, when using bios-pw.org, letters are case sensitive.
