Bit Defender ie shutdown HELP

Hello -

5 year old Dell computer - used by my kids mainly to surf internet-itunes music. Trouble free until this week - pop ups galor even when not logged onto internet.

Followed proceedures for removing Mal ware as you outlined.

Struggled and struggled more to get to the point of running Bit Defender.
(Shutdowns - freeze ups - black screen at start up - no icons/start bar at startup- got through all that and ran Spybot ccleaner etc... in safe mode)

Got to point of running Bit Defender. Safe Mode-networking on.
Bit Defender ran for 2 hours and had found many files and problems.

However - an IE serious error occurs and must shutdown message appears each time - ( have done bit defender 3 times)
It locks up the computer and I cannot get the log from bit defender.

Should I go ahead and post HIJACKTHIS log?

Or is there another way to get a bit defender log.

Each time I run bit defender there are about 50 major items that come up.
So- it must not actually be deleting the Registry changes it found even tho it says deleted.

Welcome to Majro Geeks!

You could try BitDefender in normal boot mode. The items that it may be finding may just be in System Restore. It will report those as System Volume Information System Restore cannot be cleaned until we get to our final steps (mentioned in step 8 of the READ ME).

After BitDefender you need to run PandaActiveScan. Did you run it and save the log?
After that you must get the logs from GetRunKey and ShowNew?
Then you can move on to step 7 which is HijackThis, make sure you follow our instructions. If you already had HijackThis on your PC, chances are it is not installed and renamed as we requested. Follow our procedure and save yourself (and us) some time.
