BitDefender: How bad is deleting undisinfected viruses?!

    Yes, I've read 'READ THIS FIRST'.
    I'm meant to select 'scan', but BitDefender warns me that if it is unable to clean up a given virus it will delete the virus automatically, and therefore I should adjust settings accordingly. But the settings seem to allow me a choice of EITHER 'disinfect' OR 'delete'. How cautious should I be? Where's the button that says 'spray bullets at bad things' ?
