On bitdefender's page the "I agree" link is dead. All other links work fine. I am in safe mode with networking support, running the latest version of Java and using Internet explorer. Anyone else encountering this?

I also tried to run Panda scan and the Scan Now link is also dead. All other links work. I tried in both Safe and Normal modes. I checked my version of IE and it is version 7.

Until these links work I am stuck at step 6a of the cleaning procedure.

Getting same error. Try Firefox or try it again later today, might be a problem on their website.

I emailed them and got this reply:

    Hello Neil,

After you click on "I agree" you have to wait for several seconds for
    the script to load.

I tried that but it really is a dead link so I sent them this:
I waited for a looong time but nothing happened. Btw, on mouse over the
pointer dosn't react and become a hand. Right clicking the link indicates
that this is a not a link, due to the menu choices.

So at least they are aware of it.

Could this be because I have "turned off" ActiveX?

I got Bitdefender and Pandascan to work 2 weeks ago by following the troubleshooting link.
But today, after successfully running Bitdefender I couldn't get Pandascan to work in both Safe and Normal modes. Everything proceeded normally and then the process hung at the "scanning memory" stage right at the beginning. The only signif. change to my PC lately is that I use Zonealarm and AVG instead of PC Tools firewall and AntiVir.

Changes to any security tools like this can always have an impact on online scanners! If they worked before, they should work now. You will have to check to make sure you have not configured anything in ZoneAlarm or AVG to block it. Or just quickly try shutting down/removing ZoneAlarm and AVG and see it it works. I would not worry about it anyway. Many people are constantly having problems running the online scanners. Most of the time it is not due to malware. It is typically due to a setting on the PC or due to some other software conflict.

In safe mode are programs like ZA and AVG running?

At least certain parts of them may be running.
