I was doing the read and run me first page and got down to the bitdefender and each and every time I try and run the scan it kicks me off line. I am supposed to do this part on line, right? Any help or clues to what is wrong would be helpful. Until I get past the last 2 I am assuming I won't know if I got everything or not.
    Thanks Nancy

ok, I got it. It took 6 tries before it didn't boot me off line when I tried to run it.

    Welcome to Majorgeeks Nancy!

Sounds like you have resolved issues with Bitdefender online scan.

If you are having malware problems that you need help with, make sure you finish all of the READ ME and then attach the Bitdefender, Panda, and HijackThis logs to a message in this thread to we can help you with your problems.

Bitdefender didn't find anything at all, I am working on the Hijack This now. Darn thing is running so slow and it shouldn't since it is basically new.
    Thanks. Nancy

OK, I (hope) uploaded the files, don't think they are in order. The defender didn't find anything but I went ahead and made a text file showing that. Thanks ever so much for being here to help.

Your logs do not show any real malware issues. However you should use HijackThis to fix the below lines:

    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {4982D40A-C53B-4615-B15B-B5B5E98D167C} - (no file)
    O9 - Extra button: AOL Toolbar - {4982D40A-C53B-4615-B15B-B5B5E98D167C} - (no file)
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: AOL Toolbar - {4982D40A-C53B-4615-B15B-B5B5E98D167C} - (no file)
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: WRNotifier - WRLogonNTF.dll (file missing)

You problem with a slow PC is more than likely just due to all the stuff you are running. You should not be using SpyCatcher as well as MS Windows Defender (which I assume came from the READ ME, and WinPatrol.

Do you need all those toolbars you have installed?

The below two items are not necessary either:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

I also would question how much thet Microsoft OneCare stuff is slowing you down. It seems they are entering the bloatware market with Symantec and McAfee.

I was wondering about the OneCare, I may have to go back to AVG which is what I was using before the OneCare, with AVG I will have to install a firewall also (I think)
I will get rid of the junk above and see if that helps any.
Thanks very much, at least I know it isn't a virus/malware issue.

Did you read what was in the How to protect thread?

Yes, I posted that before I read the How to protect thread, so I disabled the windows firewall and downloaded the Zone alarm. :) Then read the which spyware isn't good. Then I went through and made sure I didn't have the spyware's that don't do well together. So now is there anything else in here that I should maybe not have? I am attaching the hijack this log I just ran. Thanks ever so much for your help.

    Your log is clean now.

As I mentioned earlied, the below process are not necessary to load at startup. To save system resources you can optionally have HijackThis fix the below lines.
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Works Update Detection] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Works Shared\WkUFind.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

Now I fixed those last two, they came back? I just checked the notepad I made of the above post, and I had hijack this fix all of them, including the last 2. I will do them again though.

Okay! Let me know the results! If they will not go away, you may need to shut down all antispyware realtime protection first.

At least one of them came back again, the O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TkBellExe] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Real\Update_OB\realsched.exe" -osboot

Grrr. I uploaded another file, what is winpatrol? I thought it was a antispyware that I deleted awhile back, my memory isn't what it used to be though. I could be wrong.
    Thanks bunches, Nancy

Try again but make sure no browsers are opened when you click fix and also exit all antispyware applications that may be running first.

If you do not want WinPatrol, look in Add/Remove programs for an uninstall and uninstall it. This is what it is: WinPatrol

If it is not in Add/Remove programs, you can just fix that O4 line too using HJT.
