Hi all. I have Hp pavillion Windows 8.1 It takes forever to boot up from the black screen. It has been freezing too. I ran the Scannow it says some files are corrupted and I saved the log in my documents if you want to see it.

Also for some strange reason my pointing keeps circling like my computer is downloading something. Weird!
I would so appreciate help from a professionals here.

    Thanks

What size boot drive do you have?
If you have an Intel chipset reinstall the Intel Rapid Storage package.
Other suggestions by likelihood of success:
    1) pull the boot drive and do a fresh install, be sure all hardware is original, no add ons like USB storage or video cards. If that works plug in your old HDD and get the info. Test the old HDD.
    2) restore from backup or restore point
    3) run discheck full, on startup watch how many problems there were, do it again and see if there are still problems
    4) download the utility for your HDD from its manufacturer and test it
