    Greetings,

Last week I installed Norton Antivirus 2010 on my PC computer. I am currently running Microsoft XP and to this point have had no issues or viruses on my computer. When I restarted my computer the windows logo comes up then the screen goes blank. I can get to safe mode and found in my device manager that a couple of driver issues. I tried to do a repair with my CD but it said that my current operating system is newer than the CD. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Ran Clean Up and added. Blank screen after windows logo. Only Start in Safe mode

I have now gone through the malware steps listed in Major Geeks.com email that was sent to me. Attached are the logs I ran for my computer. I couldn't get the RootRepeal or MGtools to run on my computer

Another note is my ethernet controller has a yellow ! point by it and indicates that no driver can be found. This wasn't the case before I started having issues. I have since tried to reinstall the driver but it wouldn't load

I can't help you with your logs and I hope some one will get to them.

Can you list for us which items in device manager have problems. It might be as simple as a display adapter/video problem that is the issue.

If you have a name brand computer give the manufacturer and model number.

    Updated Computer Info

Below I have listed the Error is the Device manager

    1. HID Non- User Input Date Filter (K911895)
    2. Ethernet Controller (under the Network Adapters Section)
    3. I had an issues with the Universal Serial Bus Controller but solved it by putting in the CD

My Computer was built a few year back by a friend. It is a Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.20 Ghz and 3.00 GB of Ram. I am running XP 2002 with Service Pack 3.

I think you might be right on the video adapter. When I ran Norton the first time it asked me if I wanted to delete a bunch of files and I yes to all. I guess if could have change some sitting but am am still confused how this would affect my ethernet driver.

Thanks in advance for any help on this.
