Blank screen

    Computer ..blank screen....using XP professinal ,fans working , was working ok left it d/loading something (film) next thing it was off .
    If I keep re-starting it starts to load then get to screen for safe mode or normal , tried both but screen go blank

    yes Have switched the slot for the ram memory then switched it back ,then it worked but now has went off again ,have re-tried that ploy but did not work this time
