If you mean Old Geeks-your last post seems to be in 2005 -13 years ago - So , some may have moved upstairs and may now be Heavenly Majorgeeks.

 

You reckon they help with keeping the database updated and running smooth?

Yes, several old names no longer appear, and I may have missed somewhen I was off for a few years, after losing 2 sons within 18 months.
I learned so much from them, and you DavedGP. and still get so much information/videos, from Major Attitude.

Appreciated DavidGP- Life can give us all a nasty kick, sometimes- I do like to keep up with things, and sometimes, I can offer advice on my finding, with my own 'tinkering', and as we all do, get a lot of satisfaction, when able to solve a problem for someone, now, and again.
I do remember Asus, so nice to see an 'oldie' come back on (I am 77 this year, so I am getting a little aged, myself)….

@DavidGP really sorry to hear bout your children.. my heart goes out to you, brother. My boys (12 and 15) are still in NY with their mom. Not the same situation as you, clearly.. but the pain is legit. I feel for you, bro.. I really do.

Hi Spad, long time no see..... Thank you, and I would not wish that pain on my worst enemy (I don't know of any, but…)
Eldon had heart surgery a little while ago, but came back fighting, and has created a couple of great little geek apps for CHKDSK, and SFC /SCANNOW, to have notepad posted on desktop. So, we all have things to fight, and I honestly believe getting back into the flow here has helped- as I am sure it has helped Eldon, and others.
I find it nice to try to help when I can, and it helps us all when we can do so.

 

I am here lurking all the time. Major Geeks is a favorite on my bookmarks bar. I still laugh at the time "wenchie" worked at a help desk. She said she would tell callers to press any key and they would ask, "which one is the any key?" Then she asked someone to give her a gun and someone here sent her a picture of a gun.

 

Heck, looks like I missed check in.

Still a glorified forklift operator, and tech here and there. Always reading, just not always writing. Heard the younger set call that "lurking", lol. Miss bigbazza myself. Always a good read...

I think your guessing is spot on!
And the final nail in his geek coffin was criticizing members needing help.
Not to mention his 'I know more than you do' attitude in The Lounge. From his PMs I know he's truly a great person. But don't bring that crap attitude to me.

 

I got away with telling them it was a biologic failure with their system too. Ah the days.

Ahhhh Max He was sure he knew more than I knew. I was posting about my limited internet options. One option is ATT U-Verse but in my area it is not high speed fiber optic. Even though they call it ATT U-Verse in my area it comes in on my old phone line and is very slow. In fact the closest ATT fiber optic is 60 miles from me. Max insisted I did not know what I was talking about and that all ATT U-Verse was fiber optic. I wish it was but sadly it is not. My area is not even on the list to someday get it. Also sad it is still the best option out in my area.

 

Sorry I meant to say hey to all of the long time geeks here. I've been around a good while but I think I missed the time many of you were posting regularly or I was maybe just lurking in the back ground. The lounge use to have a lot more people posting. Anyway good to see you all posting here.

 

I get in from time to time but seldom have time to post. Got a new career and I am on the road most of the time. I keep in touch with Mag00 often enough but that’s usually by phone. Was wondering what happened to Phantom, haven’t seen any post from him for a while.

 

Did someone say something about blasts and the past?
