Blogging virgin

Totally green re. blogging etc but stack at the first hurdle:
Opened my new account with blogger - clicked on box "create new blog", new box opens and blog template selected "Enter title" (so far so good,) next box "enter title" (URL)- problem, the moment I type anything in the box, preceded by Http://, I get the message" Address not available" whatever rubbish I type in.

It also says can add custom domain later.
The "continue" box remains greyed out whatver I try.
I expect a 12 year kid would know the answer. but any age assistance would be welcome.

TIA...I think if you just enter the name of the blog without the http://www. part it will add those for you...

I have a few blogger blogs, and I just tested. That seems to be the thing to do. You can try to name it the same as your blog and see if that is available/works...

Or is this a blog on a software site ??
