If we ate all the plants, what would the animals eat?

 

I had a quirky time, when I saw a whole lamb, before it was cut up, hanging in a butchers -I could not eat lamb for a short time. Unfortunately, the guilt wears off, because we were brought up with meat in our diet---lamb, beef, pork,turkey, chicken.......I have some friends, and even family who became vegans - good for them.

 

And you know, animals that eat other animals aren't taking a day off today!

 

I was told once, by an aged history professor (or was that an old bartender?), that the word "Vegetarian" is derived from an ancient Etruscan word that, roughly translated, means "Bad Hunter."

We should get together and campaign for a "World Vegetable Free Week".

 

I could do meat for a week - including fish and poultry in the mix. But after a while, some of those veggies are pretty darn good too!
