blue screen and other problems in vista

can anyone help?

i encountered BSOD. i performed Windbg and this is what i got:

hi,
this is my personal laptop. and im using avira antivir (*the free one) as my antivirus.
im not using it as a server or anything. its just happened when i pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del to open the task manager.
and i cant boot it up in normal mode anymore.

and yeah, it is windows vista home basic. i tried updating it but the BSOD appearred in the middle of it.

i dont know if this is the root of the problem, but when i disabled the avira antivirus, the system works okay. actually, i am writing this now in the laptop that i mentioned.

maybe the avira antivir is causing this?
i read somewhere that it is related so i tried it and it worked.

**although im not very sure if it really is the one causing the problem since i am not doing anything with the antivirus(such as scanning/updating) when the problem started.

anyway, if you can find other causes, then i would appreciate it if you tell me.
and of course, i would also appreciate any comment regarding the issue.
*and any suggestions for a new antivirus.
