I get the Blue Screen with ----> STOP: c0000221 {Bad Image Checksum} The image urlmon.dll is possibly corrupt. The header checksum does not match the computed checksum. Can anyone tell me how to fix this ? I have a 3 year old Dell Laptop with Win XP Pro that it happens to. I have a 7 year old Toshiba with Win XP Home that works only pretty fair to try to fix it with, if needed. ANYONE HELP PLEASE !!??

Hello greg, welcome to Major Geeks.

error 221 means that there is a corrupt file on your hard drive. Since it is halting Windows is is an important one, perhaps a driver.

First off you need to find a way to run check disk on the drive. Will it start at all?
