GRAHHHHH!!!! OK, I've had it! I'm fed up. My computer is totally clean. No malware, I know enough not to DL silly programs and stuff. But, My computer is dying... Fast! How do i fix this? I don't even know where to start to diagnose this puppy.

Basically, I've been getting a random Blue Screen of Death. I'm a bit more advanced (though not by much) than the average PC user. I have an Alienware Laptop, The Aurora. At first I thought the culprit was that it was simply overheating, due to dust clogging up the fans, but realized that that doesn't cause a BSoD. So, I have no idea where to turn.
I didnt know which area to post in, Hardware or software... I've received news that it MIGHT be a soundblaster screwing with my OS. I dont even know if i have a soundblaster in this thing... How do i find out without taking off the nuts and bolts?
    :major

I'll help with what i can.
So far, I recorded this Error Message.

    TRAP_CAUSE_UNKOWN

Well, this is the explanation for your particular error.
So you are asking for help on something that MS admits is unknown.

MS also only has info on the error for 2K (if you call unknown error information). I haven't found anything for XP.

Just so you know, overheating can cause BSOD errors and all kinds of erratic behavior. I did find some info at MS Knowledge Base about 0x00000012 and it relates to the Soundblaster like you said, but as stated above, it only mentions Win2000.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/297088/en-us
We need to know if you have anything by Creative (the Soundblaster company) on your PC. Go to the control panel then to Add/Remove Programs and look for anything that says 'Creative' or 'Soundblaster'. Let us know what you find. You should also run in-depth diagnostics on your hard drive and RAM. Check your system temperatures too.....

EDIT- I also found this http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/ms793664.aspx

Ok, I didn't find anything with Soundblaster or Creative. I even checked for all the types of soundblaster, because they have varying names..(Just go to the creative labs site and look, theres a crap load of them.)

Ok, News update. I'm Having horrific troubles with the internet... I know its not the internet within the house, the other computers work fine. It inconsistantly but constantly throws me curveball whenever I'm trying to visit common sites, (such as Google, Youtube, Facebook, MajorGeeks, StarEdit.net..... etc.) saying something like "Invalid address!"
"The address that you are trying to go to is invalid. This may be because:
    1) The address you have typed in is wrong
    2) The Link that sent you there is old and broken"

Or something like that... I'm having trouble bringing one up at the moment...

Also, I have trouble connecting to AIM. Sometimes i have to go through a cycle of something like this in order to get online.

    Disable Wireless Connection
    Enable Wireless connection
    Try to Sign on AIM
Phail (Fail) at Signing on at AIM
    Repair Wireless Connection
    Try to sign on AIM
    Once again, no dice.
Disable Local Area Connection (Ethernet cord directly plugged into router)
    Enable Local Area Connection
    Try to Sign on AIM
    Once again, Phail.
    Repair Both Connections
    Bridge Both connections
    Try to Sign on AIM
Sometimes it works here, sometimes it doesnt.
    If it doesnt..:
    Disable Both
    Unplug Local Area Connection Cord
    Enable Wireless Connection
    Try to Sign on AIM

Now, All of these problems just popped up Very recently....
I havent made any major changes. Any Changes that i have done within the past few weeks werent really new, like installing a program... I have installed and used the program before on this PC.. But then i uninstalled over some time, then I just reinstalled, and now this crap is happening...

To fix this, So far, ive tried
    System Restore
    Uninstalling Any recently installed Programs
Checking and Cleaning out any bad stuff (basically like a search and destroy mission for spyware/malware/ any other bad things i may have)
    then i defragmented my system
Checking Temperatures... Theyre in the norm.
And i tried a whole bunch of other stuff

Also, I would like to note, that if I attempt to boot up the computer immediately after it a BSoD shows up, it will either:
    -Not start
-Turn on, maybe get to the windows loading screen then turn off
-Get to the Logon Page for Windows, then allows you to log on, and Approximately 5 seconds after all of Windows is set up and ready to go, and all of the starter-up programs are set, then another BSoD comes up.

This computer has alot of really important information, data, and files on it that i really need to keep.

Hence, this is a serious problem, because my computer is near death, and is almost completely impossible to work with..... and that doesn't sit right with me.

I'm begging anyone who may have an idea, or just a guess for me to try.

I said this in an earlier post above:
You might want to also do some general maintenance (here's good general guide: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=106650) and check for viruses/malware/trojans (here's another good guide: http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407)
Follow the steps in those guides and run the tests I mentioned above, and let us know how it turns out....
    Good luck!

you could do some backups, your hard drive maybe going out or your chipset could be going out too..

OH jesus, i think i may have uninstalled something that i needed..... Im using another computer to post... My computer Gets to the logon screen, then freezes. I managed to get it to work if i turn it on in safety mode... What do i do? I can't access the internet via safemode, because I do not receive internet from the ethernet cord hooked up to the router (god knows why) and the Wireless is gone for some reason.

I tried following directions in the guide that dlb posted... The first link.

Crap... Things just keep getting worse and worse...

... Should I just send my computer in to AlienWare? Can they fix it?

I re-did everything in windows. I reset EVERYTHING!

Now, this means that this is a hardware issue, right?
How do i move this topic into the hardware forum???

    Does anyone have any ideas?

i think this was your best idea.
Up in post 5 I mentioned that MS doesn't know what causes this error and info seems to be for 2K not XP. Reposting in another section of the forum probably won't get you any usable information.
