Blue Screen of Death, Loves Me

I'm not so sure this is a hardware problem - as I've checked fixtures and fittings recently, but I keep getting the bsod about one in three times I log onto my computer.

Perhaps giving me a clue - but this hadn't happened before I installed my new stick of RAM (1GB alongside two 256's - all Crucial, MotherB can hold up to 3GB RAM, apparently...) - which worked for a good while then the whole computer has started into this.

It's an XP, obviously - and the type of errors I have been getting are:

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
BAD_POOL_HEADER
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGE_AREA (or something similar)

Do these give any sort of indiciation as to what the problem are - or not? I've googled a few of them and the advice hasn't really been clear enough (for me, anyway) to do anything about them.

I was just wondering if there could be any sort of check (software wise) or if someone could point out the problem, given the faults above.

First it would help if you listed your full system. Barring that: will it boot in safe mode? Do you get any beeps on cold boot? Have you run Memtest?
In safe mode go to device manager and look for flags. Open system tools and look at events. Run msconfig at startup disable all.
