Blue Screen of Death

    So this time I came prepared with my logfiles. I keep getting the blue screen of death and I really dont want this thing to screw my computer up so here it is... PLEASE HELP!!

    You had quite a bit of malware ...but I doubt that is what is causing the crashes.

    Use add/remove programs to uninstall:
    Viewpoint Manager (Remove Only)"
    Viewpoint Media Player"
    Viewpoint Toolbar

    Then use windows explorer to find and delete:
    C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Toolbar
    C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools\SetupDTSB.exe

    In fact, remove all of your IE toolbars and add-ons.

    Then Run HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    After clicking fix, exit HJT.

    Right click on My Computer / [properties / hardware / device manager and look for any device that has an X, or ! or ? next to it.

    I think that fixed it I havent crashed today....BUT!!
    You said I had quite a bit of Malware? HOw can I tell what is Malware and what isnt and I ran all of the cleaners like CCleaner,Panda, etc so if that didnt get it off what will?

    I did all of that before I sent my logs in. Thats how I knew to do it. Thanks though.

    Hi chibiTenshi!
    The scans you did took out a lot of malware but not everything. Also, you need to have Counterspy fix what it finds. Please rerun it and this time make sure it quarantines or deletes what it finds.

    After that, please rerun ShowNew, GetRunKeys and HijackThis, which don't take very long, and post the following logs. This allows us to check what still needs to be done.

    -Counterspy
    -newfiles.txt
    -runkeys.txt
    -hijackthis.log
