blue screen of death

I have an alternate computer that is having serious problems with it..I can't get it on long enough to run any of the basic spyware stuff suggested..it starts up and gets in fine..but as soon as the icons appear and it becomes possible to do anything a blue screen of death appears. It says the error is on file name: VMM(12)+00004c3c Error:0e:0028:co279c3c. It runs on windows ME so I can't do a safe mode boot with networking to get on and get at those files...what do I do????

Try this until the Spyware guy's can get to you.

Start > Run > type, SCANREG /FIX > click OK > Windows will reboot.

Alright, that's got me in long enough to work around with it..I'll send a reply once I'm through all of that to say wether or not the problem seems to be fixed. I'm gonna run through all the stuff in the thread with the to do list for spyware problems
