Blue screen! Please help!

    Hello. I have a Toshiba laptop and it runs Windows XP 64bit. I keep getting the blue screen with the message STOP:c00000135 The program can't start because %hs is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. Please help!!!:cry

    You're in the malware forum, did you previously have a malware issue?

    If not, you might want to start by checking your drive for errors. Windows Explorer, find the C drive, properties, check drive for errors.

    If it's not malware, I will move this thread later.

    This computer has previously had malware issues but was fixed and then had Kapersky installed for virus protection. how do I check the drivers?

    I answered that above. Can you boot into Windows from safe mode (tap f8 repeatedly when computer boots up)

    Also, you can try:

    When the PC boots, press F5 to see an advanced boot menu.
    In that menu, press F8 to see more options
    Choose to start the with last known working configuration.
