    Hello,

I was wondering if you could help me. My computer is just over a year old, and I've gotten this blue screen a couple times. :/

    Specs:
    Windows 7 Professional
    Intel Core i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHz
    RAM: 16.00 GB
    System type: 64 bit

I've attached a picture of the blue screen. This happened tonight, about an hour or so ago. Prior to that was maybe two weeks? I did download Who Crashed, and attached that report too. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

    Hi

What is the make and model of your PC and is it a desktop or laptop?

Those STOP errors (BSOD) are generally random and tend to link to hardware, say a loose RAM stick or cable, so check all are firmly connected and even go as far as unplugging RAM or cables and pushing them back in.

    Is it still under warranty?
Any new software or hardware installed before this started to happen randomly?

Boot into Safe Mode (F8 at boot and choose safe mode with networking) to just check if your PC runs ok, as it could be a startup software that has a virtual hardware driver installed like anti-virus and backup apps can.

The random nature of these crashes makes it hard to diagnose as we cannot latch onto a consistent error, but bare with us as it may take a while to find a solution.

    Hi there,

Thank you for replying so fast! Is the make and model what I included there before? The only other info I can think of is it's a computer I got at Altex, had it custom built there.

I'm not sure how to unplug RAM. I did make sure all the cables are pushed in properly. I actually moved at the end of July so everything was unplugged and replugged.

No, nothing new installed prior to the first crash. Prior to this crash, I installed Kodi a few days ago.

Unfortunately, it's not under warranty anymore. Right now, it seems to be running ok.

    Hi

The info are some specs but was more after info as e.g. Dell Inspiron 8500 or HP Pavillion 2500, but you have now mentioned its a custom build from Altex so if we need more info we can give you an option to allow a printout of your PC spec as in what Motherboard it used etc later on.

If a desktop tower type PC then this is how you unplug RAM and plug it back in (video at bottom, pretty good one) just do the reverse and they only go one way, just have to make sure you ground yourself before opening and removing ram and reseating to avoid static *or get a kind friend to do this who maybe used to this work*

In moving and PC s can get a little bumped and jiggled ram can become loose, so worth a check.
