I am having trouble with my system blue screening after pluggin in a usb drive and or putting a cd into the dvd drive. I just don't know where to start. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you copy down the stop code and post it here?
It will take the form of:

    Code:
    STOP: 0x#### (0x####, 0x####, 0x####, 0x####) Error Type

Is this what you needed? The other screen flashes to quickly for me to get the error code.

I had this problem and I updated the driver for the USB ports for my HP. That solved the problem. I still have blue screens every once in awhile, but now they're always associated with a TV tuner I have on this PC. It loses the cable signal occasionally, then sometimes when I unplug it and replug it the machine will blue screen. I don't pay attention to them any more when that happens. I take those as a driver conflict, and it only rarely happens...

I think most blue screens are driver issues. I recommend BlueScreenView to see what's causing the crash. You can post the report, too, which might help with diagnosis...
