Bluetooth Assistance

New to Bluetooth - this is what I have.

IPAQ handheld with bluetooth
Vaio laptop w/bluetooth

trying to get the 2 to sync and attempt to use the internet on the IPAQ through the bluetooth using laptop internet connection.

I activate BT on IPAQ, and when i try to turn on discovery on laptop, i get the following errors:

an error occurred while Windows was saving your settings. The following setting were not saved:
DISCOVERY settings
Connection setting

i cant seem to activate bluetooth on the laptop - i have a program called bluespace which is like an assistant and all it tells me to do is turb BT on, but windows will not allow.

any suggestions? thanks!

 

ok well somehow i got the laptop to pick up the PDA

however

i cannot access either from the other...

they recognize there is another device there, but when it goes to connect, it says:

the requested service is not available on this device. please make sure the service is enabled on the device or select another one to continue.

is says this for whatever i try.
