I thought I had cleaned up this system fairly well earlier but still is very sluggish.

Went through the steps in the read me first and have attached all requested logs. I ran SuperAntiSpyware twice so I have included both log files.

A second posting for this new thread will contain the fourth attachement.

Thank you for any direction you can give me.

    Sincerely,

    Jonathan

    Thank you again,

Do you know what the below is? Is it a Desktop sharing program? Did you install it?
    O23 - Service: TeamViewer 3 (TeamViewer) - TeamViewer GmbH - C:\Program Files\TeamViewer3\TeamViewer_Host.exe

Run this Disable/Remove Windows Messenger to remove Windows Messenger. Do not confuse Windows Messenger with MSN Messenger because they are not the same. Windows Messenger is a frequent cause of popups.

Uninstall the below extremely old versions Sun Java as requested in step 1 of the READ ME:
Java 2 Runtime Environment Standard Edition v1.3.1_03

Run C:\MGtools\analyse.exe by double clicking on it. This is really HijackThis (select Do a system scan only) and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [xxy_Shell] C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\xxy_wpbw.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [HXDL.EXE] C:\Program Files\Cosmi\HelpExpress\HXDL.EXE -from="HXIUL.EXE" -to="HXIUL.EXE" -run
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [A00F209251.exe] C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\_A00F209251.exe
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: __c006A5D4 - C:\WINDOWS\system32\__c006A5D4.dat (file missing)

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now download The Avenger by Swandog46, and save it to your Desktop.
    • Extract avenger.exe from the Zip file and save it to your desktop
    • Run avenger.exe by double-clicking on it.
    • Do not change any check box options!!
    • Copy everything in the Quote box below, and paste it into the Input script here: part of the window:
    • Now click the Execute button.
    • Click Yes to the prompt to confirm you want to execute.
    • Click Yes to the Reboot now? question that will appear when Avenger finishes running.
    • Your PC should reboot, if not, reboot it yourself.
    • A log file from Avenger will be produced at C:\avenger.txt and it will popup for you to view when you login after reboot.
After reboot, now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

Also delete all files in the below folders except ones from the current date (Windows will not let you delete the files from the current day).
    C:\WINDOWS\TEMP
    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp

    Now run Ccleaner!

Now run the C:\MGtools\GetLogs.bat file by double clicking on it. Then attach the new C:\MGlogs.zip file that will be created by running this and also attach the log from Avenger.

Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

The system is running a little better at this point. I am also going to buy more memory for it as well.

Sorry I overlooked the old version of Java uninstall.

Here are the new log files.

Thank you for all of your help.

You forgot to answer my question at the start of my last message.
Your logs are clean. If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop & renamed it like we requested.)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\cf" /u
        • Notes: The space between the cf" and the /u, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    2. If we had you run Avenger, you can delete all files related to Avenger now.
    3. You can delete the C:\MGtools folder and the C:\MGtools.exe file. You can also delete the C:\MGlogs.zip
    4. If you are running Windows XP or Windows ME, do the below:
      • Refer to the cleaning steps in the READ ME for your Window version and see the steps to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points.
      • Then reboot and Enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.
    5. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
