Bogus "norton" Billing Notices Via Emails?

I've received two emails in the past week saying Norton is renewing it's services and will be billing my bank account. The amount to be billed varied -- The first one I received showed an amount of, I think, two hundred dollars (U.S.). The second one, which arrived just this morning, said I would be billed over four hundred dollars! I'm keeping an eye on my accounts of course and deleted both emails. Wondering if anyone else here has received similar emails claiming to be from Norton?

So far no bogus withdrawals have been made from my accounts. I think there was a phone number to call to get info or cancel the bill or unsubscribe (some Las Vegas address mentioned in connection with the unsubscribe link).

The subject line has something like "Nor.ton.Billi.ng" but the return email address is an individual's name I don't recognize with some meaningless (to me anyway) letters following that.

Just move them to the spam folder or delete them. They are counting on you to reply, so don't.

Thanks Tim. I did move them to spam and didn't reply in any form. Just wondered if anyone else was receiving something similar.

I use Gmail and receive very little spam.

I'm a gmailer too, Tim. I don't get much spam either, but I cancelled my Norton recently. Maybe since I used to receive legit email from Norton gmail hasn't yet filtered out this bogus stuff I received. I marked it as spam and if others who've received something similar also mark it as spam it'll probably get zapped automatically in the future.

    Thanks again, Tim.

P.S. DHMCYB, WTHALCY!! (That's YCLAHTW, BYCMHD backwards! No idea what it means anyway. Is it Klingon; something from HP Lovecraft? New government acronyms? E.g. "Young Cats Left At Home during Tong Wars"? "But Young Cats Mousing at Home, Don't!"?? ;-o )

I get emails supposedly from Norton and McAfee. I don't think I've used either since the 1990's. I just mark them as spam, without bothering to open them, and let juno put them in the junk folder. I also get spam telling me my computer is infected - again mark as spam.
