This is truly a most heinous act of cowardice. This just further shows truth in my attitude towards the rounding up and EXTERMINATION of terrorists...and why in hell haven`t we as civilized countries started to round up these scum sooner? I`m glad our pres has the stones to do so...but we waited too long.

I'm not sure how many of us actually live in Central London, I'm pretty close but have heard that 7 explosions are confirmed, 2 confirmed dead, and at least 90 casualties so far. People are still trapped in Kings Cross Station, have been watching the news for the past hour. Best websites to stay updated are http://news.bbc.co.uk/ and http://www.sky.com/skynews/home

Blair also believes it's most certainly work of Al Qaeda

Well we have had a number of explosion's today in London shortly after i had taken my daughter to the airport this morning for her flight to Tobago. The airport has been shut and flights into and out of gatwick are subject to delay. The scene in London is very chaotic with whats gone on as there is no underground or bus service running at this time. Our relatives who live in central London are OK as they were at home. I have spoken to them and the advice locally is to stay in and not go out as there may be more to come

I just got to work... heard the news on the radio on the way.

My heart and my condolences go out to all of the Brits here at MG. I remember the flood of emotions I felt 4 years ago here on Sept. 11 -- fear, confusion, anger. I am sorry that more of our brethren are having to experience those same feelings again.

Terrorism is an act of cowardice and I hope these cowards are forced to pay the ultimate price for what they have done.

And I agree with Kodo -- let's hear from all the British MG members so we know you are all right.

Well they timed this act well for max disruption, start of summer, G8, London Olympic bid win.

UK hospitals or at least the one I work in is on alert ( some Dr's talking of going to london or transfering criticals here ) one saving grace is that the emergency services have been through these crisies before back in the IRA bombing days so the UK is well equiped to handle the aftermath of a terrorist attack.

BUT the attack was brutal in its execution, bomb the underground in central london, then as the survivours are trying to get away ...on buses... bomb them slightly later :(

My heart goes out to anyone affected by this as I do know what its like to experience a bomb go off on two occasions back in the 90s.

My thoughts are with our friends across the pond. Terrorists are the scum of the earth, they must not be allowed to exist. Today's events in London are proof positive that these people have no intent of coexisting with anyone who does not agree with their narrow view of life.

What I can't get through my head is why they target civilians?!? As was already said, they are nothing but cowards...

my heart goes out to all of you Brits. i have great empathy for what you all are going through right now. stand strong, as i know you will ... your american brothers and sisters are with you.

the whole point of terrorism is to spread fear amoung the masses. to force us to change our way of life, surrender our ideals, and be afraid of being free. this is why we must continue to show that our desire for freedom and our way of life is greater than their desire to die.

Believe you me...us Americans feel for you and you are in our prayers!! I think I pretty much speak that for anyone!!!!

Anyone heard if anybody has owned up to this yet!!??

    Roger

P.S. Anyone in the US seeing any effects of this yet?? Chicago has tightened up the security on all Amtrack and Metra trains and buses!!

Quite possible. They're a fairly loose network working towards the same goals, not a franchise operation where everybody uses the same trademark.

It's always possible they're BS. Time will tell... probably.

Hope all of our British friends here on the board are ok. They think the explosion on the bus was a suicide bomber.

So tragic and unexpected. I also send my condolences to everyone in Britain.

My hubby just told me the news. I feel totally sickened. Just been reading up on the BBC website. Feel like crying, throwing up, and all those other things you want to do when some sick bastard does stuff like this.

All I know is I was in the UK...now I am in the US....these two countries are targetted by such sickos and it is paramount that we unite together to support each other through this.

    Goldie...you ok buddy?

Steve, talk on UK news at present is that the bus bomber may have gone off before reaching his target???

But as we know a terrorist or military tactic is to have bombs go off in one area for people to them move to where they think its safe only to have bomb go off their ( the bus ).

as with all these things.. news is sketchy for 24-48hrs.

"He who warns is excused" ?!@#??!

What bullshit!!! Where on earth does it say that?? Not in the freaking Bible I can tell you.

Man... I detest the twisting of scripture to justify such violence.

Right now I find it hard to believe that even if they repented they would be forgiven. But as they obviously don't really know God, there isn't much danger of that.....

Sorry...had to vent...being away from your country when this stuff goes down is proving tough on me.

*Hugs to all you Brits out there*

Lenin said the purpose of Terror is to terrorise. It's not going to work with us.

They blew up our City centre not so long back and my heart goes out to those directly caught up in this today, it's a very strange place to find yourself in.

We were lucky and even though it was a massive 1,000lb + bomb we had no fatalities. In fact it made us stronger.

    http://tinyurl.com/apfm4

It's looking like 50 dead now and more expected, whoever perpetrated this needs stopping, permanently!

    RIP

That's quite likely. Looking at the pictures, it seems that the bomb went off on the upper deck. Far more casualties would have occurred if the bomber had been sat on the lower deck when it detonated. He may have been on his way somewhere...

First of all, my deepest condolences to all the families in London. My prayers go out to all injured, too.

I have so many mixed feelings again today. Anger and rage to name two.

What I feel should be done to these terrorists is not in any law book as legal.
They don't play by the rules and neither should we.

This was supposed to be a happy day, and then total mayhem from some fanatical sickos who makes me want to scream, and all of it makes me sick.

Have friends in the UK, not in London though, but I hope all UK members of MG are safe in their homes tonight.

My heart goes out to all the innocent people who had to suffer through this.

Yeah, the first thing I did was to ring the relatives on the U.K. side, to make sure they wern't in London yesterday.:(

I suppose it's only a matter of time before they start in Australia too. Hope I''m wrong, but that's how some Islamic extremists are talking. Makes me glad I live well away (sort of) , from the main city.
