The other day i tried Boost Speed by AusLogics, it tweaks your PC.

Did a back-up of the registry but when i noticed that the computer could no longer recognize the printer, i knew something was wrong.
So i put the registry back the way it was then rebooted.
Kaboom! Blue screen, zilch! No more nothing!
Had to re-install (fortunately they saved the data) at a pretty $120 can.

Wrote to the company. Still no response (3 days now)...

Is this something that can happen with the best of software programs?

Sadly yes it is something that can happen with your PC and software and if your tweaking the OS and settings this can easily happen when one setting is adjusted and is really needed things can go tits-up!

I guess the company doesnt like negative comments/emails only favourable ones.

Even tho I do heavily adjust my OS, I do not keep important files on the OS Drive/partition and always before adjusting anything, do a clone of my OS HD as you never know. Early days of using XP when it was new I played alot with services and registry hacks... only to kill the OS several times.
