Boot Block?

  1. Everytime I restart my computer it goes into some kind of loop before it starts to boot up.

I get a two line message that suggests it's running some kind of Award BootBlock program and it goes black and does it again. It's done this for up to an hour before. If I manually turn the computer off and on a couple of times it will break the loop.

Any idea where my problem lies and how I should fix it?

  2. Kodo

    Kodo SNATCHSQUATCH

does it say anything about "CHECKSUM ERROR" ?

BootBlock is just a different type of BIOS that is separated into a Boot Block and a System Block.

  3. no error, just a message as if it were loading the boot block software normally, except over and over.
