I built my own computer, I put everything together correctly, I have built computers in the past, and booted it up, the mobo lights up, the hard drives boot, everything seems to work, except, the whole system shuts down after a few moments. So i took the computer apart, and plugged in just the power supply to the Mobo, the mobo lit up and then turned off after a few moments, so i narrowed it down to that.

    I tried resetting the RAM
I tried a different working Power Supply

any ideas on what the problem is?

Mobo: ABIT AN8 32X Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI X16 ATX AMD Motherboard
    Processor: AMD 4400+

    Welcome to MG. :)

Can you get into the BIOS to see if a power saving setting is screwing you?
