Boot menu

In my Boot menu i have 3 entries, the first is Vista (default) but i have 2 other entries for Ubuntu that i would like to remove.
when i use "msconfig"and go to the boot tab it shows only my default Vista.
Does anyone know how i can remove these 2 entries please.

 

If you have your DVD, then follow Adryn's advice here or grab the program he states though I never used it.

 

Ouch @ editing the BCDStore,:eek that's why people came up with a front end GUI so that regular folks won't have to learn BCD, I fooled around with BCD back in the beta days and wanted to avoid that at all costs. BTW, Vista only tolerates boot.ini for legacy OSs and doesn't even know that *nix exists as it sits above Vista.

@Bill, there may be a *nix only solution to remove the bootloaders and be even easier than what Adryn posted if you don't have a DVD.

 

@ Augie I do have original CD ( HP OEM )but am reluctant to use it in case it installs all the :crap again from HP that took me so long to get rid of,but if i don't find another solution maybe i will have to risk it.

@Digital I can do all that you say bout "right click computer"but when i get to the boot properties it shows all three Boot options but will only let me select which i want as primary boot, there is no edit option?

 

I realize this is a 6 month old thread but i thought i would let you guys know how i cured it.

It turned out to be a very simple operation, i used "msconfig" and it gives the option to delete boot menu.

I spent hours trolling the web and trying all sorts of things until this was suggested.
