Boot problems have to press f1 key to bootup

I am trying to get my daughter's computers, laptop zv5`60HP to work wihtout pressing the f1 key. It installs all updates, etc. including IE8 and yet it still will not boot up when it starts wihtout pressing the f1 key-so how do I fix this???I have the recovery discs and was going to do a full recovery and i didi check the bootup sequence in the BIOs and it all looks okay

 

Well, another thing you could try, is to reset bios defaults. But, before you do this, make sure you remember anything you or she may have changed in the bios. Typically nothing goes wrong.

 

okay willdo but since it is all as planned im nt sure if it will make a difference-it's really weird that this happens-I thought maybe it was a virus but it didin;t show anything-running Norton 2009

I have done all the steps except if the problem is the bootup floppy seek being on and getting into the advanced bios to disable it is involved, I do not see where that is located under advanced in the BIOs of htis Win XP machine I tried changing the bootup order to the HD first and it still won't boot up unless the f1 key is pressed.HELP!!!
