    Hello geeks,

    I have a serious problem.
When I boot my pc I get the normal single "I'm working" beep from the pc.
After that I get the Asus screen with the "press del to enter the bios" screen.

Now this is where my hell is starting.
Right after this screen you get the screen with sum up of the information of
RAM amount etc. In other words so far a normal boot.

Right after this I get two short fast beeps followed by a strange message.
After this there is nothing except from the message, which contains nothing of actual txt just random characters and symbols.

I've booted from cd and try to (re-)install Windows again. This didn't work as it didn't let me install on the new formatted partition.

Anyone has an idea on what the problem might be?

I also swopped the RAM already as I read that might be the problem. I also read this could be the gfx card, but as I wroet already I can see stuff on the screen.

    My setup:
    Asus corsair III series
    Phenom x4 3.4Ghz blackbox
    Corsair 1600 2x4g Ram
2x 1g vapor-x gfx (took one out already)

    Tnx already,
    ZRN

    Welcome to Major Geeks.

Have you tried resetting the BIOS by unplugging the PC, removing the CMOS (coin-size) battery from the motherboard and waiting about 30 minutes before reinstalling it? This will sometimes (but not always) solve bootup issues.

If this doesn't work, please reply - others may have different ideas on solving the problem.

    Hope this helps. :)

Tnx for the reply. Nevertheless there seems to be no batt on the mobo.
There is a special button to reset the cmos and I tried that. No result sadly enough.

The other thing is that I deleted, format old and add new partition on my hdd.
But I can't install my os there somehow.

I added a foto to this post, its a bit blurry. But this is what I see when I wait after the choice for the win boot cd is run out of time. And also when I let it boot from the hdd directly.

The specs from my board say its a AMI bios, so two beeps has to be a memory parity error. I don't know what that means, and correct me if I'm wrong but its some RAM error right?

And if that is the case, as I don't understand, why doesn't it beep twice when the system boots. And why do the two corshair vengeance 4g 1600 do show up in the bios as working?
