    AMD Phenom 9500
    2GB crucial memory

So everything gets power, the fans spin, but you get no video, right? The first thing you do is go back through all the power connections, mainly the power connections to the motherboard and to the video card (if there is one). Make sure everything is plugged in firmly and completely. Check your cards, the sound card, video card, modem, etc and make sure they are are firmly seated in the slots. Same with the memory; pop out each stick and pop 'em back in. If you built it yourself, did you install the CPU correctly? and the CPU heat sink and fan? Did you use stand-offs in all the right places? An extra stand-off in the wrong place can short out a board and cause all kinds of havoc. Check the CMOS jumper and battery; are they in the positions they should be? Check the CMOS battery voltage; under 2.85 and it should be replaced. Are you sure your motherboard supports the CPU you purchased? Do you have any USB devices connected when trying to boot up? Did you connect all your motherboard headers correctly (like the USB and front panel and audio front panel)? There's so many things to check, that it may take a while. Just be very careful and patient and methodical. If you have on board video, maybe remove the video card and try the on-board first.....

Good luck! I hope this helps!

I was reading the manual upon installing the CPU... and it went right fit in.
The motherboard doesnt have any onboard video, thats why I have a seperate graphics card...oh well im taking it to best buy.

:confused Whaaa?!?!?! BEST BUY?!?!? For God's sake, do NOT take it to Best Buy! Anywhere but Best Buy!!! I have yet to hear of a positive customer experience when dealing with PC repair and Best Buy. They're trained to make sales, not repair stuff that was purchased elsewhere. And if you did buy it there, they'll probably say that you damaged the hardware and that it is not covered by the warranty, or that warranty replacement will take 6-8 weeks.

    Good luck. :cry

You don't have any other PC repair place in your town?

Call around the smaller independent places, and try to find out which one hsa been in business the longest. The PC business 'universe' can be very difficult for an independent to survive in unless they're doing something right. If the place has been in business over 3 or 4 years, they're probably trustworthy. You may want to ask around with friends, co-workers, etc. I do some work for an independent PC store; he opened up in 1994, before CompUSA and BestBuy were even in town, and now CompUSA has folded. He's been going strong for over 14 years which is the longest of any independent in town. :D
