Boot Up Problem W2003 and Xp

Up until last Saturday morning I was running a dual boot system with windows 2003 running on a 36GB Western digital SATA and XP on a differnt physical ide drive. I got up on Sat morning and found my computer frozen on the w2003 splash screen. I hit the soft boot, but it just went into a continual reboot sequence, so I shifted to the XP figuring since it was on a different physical drive it would boot fine, but I got the same behavior with the exception that I was able to get a clean boot after the 4th attempt but within 30 seconds there was just a crash and a restart. I was perplexed. What could have caused both drives to have a problem? I tried and tried and tried. I turned off automatic reboot on error only to get the infamous cryptic m/s error messgages which there was no direct translation other then it was a hardware problem.
So, I took the box to a repuable repair shop. They scanned the drives. No problem with the drives from a physical perspective. The ran a virus check on the drives. No virus. So since I have been doing a bit of video editing I decieded to just have a new box built, and include the xp and w2003 drives and then reactivate, figuring that the CPU had gone bad in the previous box.

Now this is where it gets more interesting. The new box works great. 2gb of ddr2 ram and an intel dual core processor and I'm ready to go. So, I installed the other two drives (xp and w2003) but when I try to boot of of either drive, all I get is a black screen with a few small rectangular colored boxes.
Anyone have any ideas? I'd like to get the 2003 os to boot so I can start using SharePoint again and recover my data from my sharepoint d/b.
