Trying to backup my Vista DVD by creating a bootable DVD but having no such luck.

Have been using Nero Express and the boot dvd function doesn't seem to be working properly - I can get all files on the DVD but it doesn't make it a bootable DVD as the computer tries to boot from DVD but then fails and continues loading Windows as normal.

    Something obvious I'm missing?

    Hi McA

Could you convert the Vista DVD to ISO format then burn from ISO, this should keep it bootable.

My spare copies of Vista are all in ISO format and not had issues in burning them to bootable DVDs, I dont use Nero though as I had too many issues with it an ISOs, so use CDBurnerXP and burn at x4 speed.
