    Hi All,

Is it possible to "reach across" the partition via Mac OS X and recover files from an unbootable XP.

I can't boot into safe mode ran chkdsk \p\r TWICE (first says found and fixed one or more errors, second found no errors) and have restored the windows xp registry with original XP Pro disk in D drive via recovery console by:

    1) manually backing up current primary registry files

    2) Restoring base registry from original install

    3) Changing date in Mac(to better find proper system restore file) and using base registry

At this point I WAS ABLE to get into the primitive win xp and extract registry files from System Restore created CheckPoints
Then I Import extracted checkpoint registry files into the current active registry.

This was all done by following this webpage step by step- http://www.aitechsolutions.net/winxpnoboot.html
    [/URL]
BUT every time I reboot, won't load and when choosing safe mode it gets hung up on mup.sys

Macbook Pro OS X/ Bootcamp with Win XP SP3, NTFS file system
    Thank you for any advice
