booting prob

my comp keep re booting
the graphic in the games also have low quality
is it a prob with the power supply
or the cpu fan

i need to change something
i don't the shop to charge me for something else

i m using xp 64bit server 2003
sli 6600 times 2
ram 1 gig

What is the power rating on your PSU?? Should be above 400 watts really, it should always be more than enough - you can see what exactly is required here:

also you may have a poor make of PSU, what is the brand?? Is it mentioned here?:

Then again this may not be the case, but I've heard the some PSU related problems can include random rebooting.


Make sure the graphics card is installed properly: right click on my computer > properties > Hardware tab > device manager
look for exclaimation marks under display adapters ; and under anything else for that matter.

Failing this check the video settings in the options of the games you play, set them to high if they aren't and see how it goes.

If it is properly installed make sure you have the latest forceware drivers for your 6600s, especially if they are recent games you play, updating these can't do any wrong. http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

You could do with more than one gig of RAM if you're gaming, or so I'm told.

Its probably not malware eating away at your system but you could do bitdefender and panda activescans just to be sure.
