darn.. somebody else has made a thread lyk dis already. good to know i'm not the only bored person.

 

I just can't understand how anyone can get bored! There is just so much out there to do, to see, to learn! I know I've said this before (to someone else probably) but here goes again.

Isn't there something that you're interested in that you don't know anything about? Tonight we had a halloween party at our church, and we had a couple who handles bats come and talk to us and show us a couple of bats. I got to see the bat close up, they stretched out it's wing and we got to see how it's wing is formed a lot like our hand; finger-like bones with the webbing between. It was really amazing and interesting. I know that sometime when I have some time, I'm going to google bats and read more about them. I might even see if we can get some plans to build a bat house for Bushnell. I never really thought much about bats before, but seeing one close up like that, and hearing some facts about them really piqued my interest. It's just that there is so much out there. What is the joy of sitting around doing nothing and complaining about it?

Oh its not JUST the lower class. I'm sure there are some perfectly reasonable lower class youths in the country. Its just these people who insist on hanging around in towns, being antisocial and intimidating people, and trying to be fashionable by all wearing exactly the same thing, and so all end up looking like complete slobs.

Everyone has equal oppertunity at getting educated here (more or less), there really is no reason why people should be un-educated here. Not that that matters that they are un-educated, but the sentiment of them actually rejecting it in favour of what... hanging about town being a nuiscence to people?

You can't tell me that you have to be a "working class" citizen to do all of those things, can you? You just have to be an ignorant, selfish, antisocial git. Anyone can do that, no matter what their class!

Sounds like the problem is internal, not external.

 

I'm not going to lie - I do get bored frequently, and as Eric said, it's internal. Whenever i get bored, I think "How CAN I be bored? There's so much to do and I'm so lucky to have all this stuff - computer, video games, DVD player, books, blahblah..".

I absolutely love to read and write, but sometimes I just feel so restless. I want to get out and do things (weird for me, I'm a homebody by heart ), something as little as going to the bookstore or the park; wherever. Unfortunately, we live about 30 minutes from town, and I don't have my license yet..*sigh*.

hey people from NY... did u guys participate or see the 31st annual Village Halloween Parade (or whateva it's called)?
i didn't celebrate halloween but i watched it on TV. Huge crowd...
