both windows 2000 and windows xp on my comp

Hello, i hope somebody might help me,

I have just bought Windows xp home to replace windows 2000 on my computer. I wanted to totally wipe my hard drive and install xp but i now have both windows 2000 and windows xp on my computer,
Could anybody please tell me where i could go from here?

Ideally i would now like to wipe my hard drive of both 2000 and xp and start with a fresh palate, but i just dont know how to do it after a few failed attempts!!!!

You first need to enable your Bios to boot from CD Rom.

With the CD in the drive, reboot and follow the prompts.

Delete and format any primary and extended partitions.

Install XP onto a single, primary partition.

No bother, and yes, with your XP disc.

Go into your Bios and set it to boot from CD Rom. When you start your PC, it generally tells you which key you need to press to enter the Bios. It's usually DEL (delete key), but it will tell you at the bottom of the screen.

Once your Bios is set up, follow THESE instructions.
