whats the highest score you can get?

I do. My highest score so far is 222. I haven't been in a few weeks because my work schedule kinda conflicts with my regular alley's business hours, but I try to go as often as financially possible.

300. It's when you get strikes in every frame, and three strikes in the tenth. The score would count up in intervals of 30 starting from the first frame.

 

so if you nock down one pin. . its one point?
if you hit ten. . its 30?

 

One pin does equal one point. If you hit ten on your first ball in a frame, it's a strike, and worth 30. Otherwise, you get however many you hit the first throw, added to how many you get the second throw. If you knock all ten down in your allotted two throws in a frame, you get a spare (which is worth...shoot, I forget...more than ten. *sigh*)

 

so the firs strike is worth 30, and the next frame if you only get a total of 7(37)
and a strike in the third frame thats also 30?(67)

No no no....You got it all wrong.

It works like this:

For a strike in any given frame, you get ten points plus the result of the following two throws. Example: I throw a strike in the first frame, and get a total of 8 in the second frame. In the first frame I have 18 points, and in the second frame I have 26 points.

For a spare, you get ten points plus the result of the first throw in the following frame. Example: I throw a spare in the first frame, and knock down 2 pins in the first throw of the second frame, and knock down 3 with the next throw. In the first frame I have 12 points, in the second frame I have 17 points.


When I said they count in intervals of thirty, I meant that the counting in the first frame would start after you roll your third strike...The third strike being the second throw after your first strike.

ya i feel you guys on poor bowling skills....i feel like im having a good game if i bowl and 80-99...a great game is anything over 100...

 

I havn't bowled in about 4 years but the last two leagues I was in I averaged 216 in one and 221 in the other. I made about three hundred dollars a week pot bowling. I was, I guess still am a pretty good bowler.
