I have a computer that is not remembering IE size and position. I've tried doing the trick with an external link and draging the IE window to desired location but still nothing. I'm even closing the window from the drop down menu; not the red (X). For the life of me I thought there was some registry keys you could also edit but I can't think of where they are.

something like: current user\software\microsoft\internet explorer ....

but I cant remember which one to edit... :(

    Hello,
    Try this.
For Xp: And I believe Vista also but not sure.
Open IE then in the taskbar, right click and select "tile Vertically". Then click the maximize button to make a full screen window. Then press the shift key and click the red X.

    For Windows 7:
Open IE and grab the title bar with the left mouse button and drag the window to the far right until it fills half the screen. Click the maximize button, then press the shift key and click the red X.
