braviax? i've been attacked!

    :banghead Computer infected. Very very slow/locks - this is wife's computer and I'm in the doghouse. Got a red circle w/ white x pretending to be Windows giving messages. Have some popups and warning messages coming up. Per your cleaning suggestion, loaded spybot (found nothing), superantispyware (found ~30 items), and MGTools (cannot decipher). For now, will attach findings. Pls advise / help!!!:cry:cry

    Please attach your MGTools log, SuperAntiSpyware log and ComboFix log. I think you forgot to do this. Then an Authorized Malware Fighter will be able to assist you.

    Hmmm...thought I attached....here goes again...btw, not successful running ComboFix yet :banghead...will try to figure out to get it to run...for now, have attached MGTools and SuperAntiSpyware logs. THANKS.

    Are you still having problems ...SAspyware got the braviax issue...however, lets clean out your temps:

    Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune. This program does not require an installation. The executable actually runs the program.

    NOTE: This program is for Windows XP and Windows 2000 only. ATF Cleaner will remove all files from the items that are checked so if you have some cookies you'd like to save. Please move them to a different directory first.

    * Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
    * Under Main choose: Select All
    * Click the Empty Selected button.

    If you use Firefox browser

    * Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
    * Click the Empty Selected button.
    o NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

    If you use Opera browser

    * Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
    * Click the Empty Selected button.
    o NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

    Click Exit on the Main ATF Cleaner menu to close the program.

    Tell me exactly what problems you still have.

    What problems are you having running ComboFix? Did you follow the instructions in the Read and Run First sticky? It should be renamed to cf.exe and then run.

    Followed the instructions online for CF.exe - and I need to copy/paste a line which has 2 backslash keys, which I can't seem to paste/type since the Dell is from abroad - instead, the backslashes show up / types as a funny W (like symbol for Korean Won currency)...trying to figure this out!!! Any other way to automatically run w/o having to type/key backslashes?? THANKS:confused

    You should be able to just double click the desktop icon (the .exe file).
