Anyone see the Mythbusters breaking bad special? They tested the mercury fulminate explosion scene and the body in the bathtub scene, I'll not spoil it if you haven't seen it yet

I actually go to work an hour early to catch this show on tv. One of few shows that make me wish i had cable.

 

Laura get the box set, PJ's, some hot chocolate, a blanket and budge over:major Ohh and some crystal meth roflmao Seriously though I doubt anyone would want to be involved with it after watching the show, it's one if not THE most damaging drugs in the world today, and the fastest growing.

I did quite a bit of research to understand the show and meth addicts are some of the saddest, screwed up individuals I've ever seen. In as little as one year all remnants of who they were is practically gone and they become an animal with only one purpose.

They all end up with this strange group psychosis in which they're infected and bugs are crawling under their skin, they pick at area's of their body to try and dig them out until they bleed. Totally insane. I saw a guy in Australia on youtube and every week he's go to the doctor to convince him there were bugs there and every week the doctor would try to convince him they were a hallucination and caused by his addiction.

I'm never sure where to take these threads once people have said they watch it?

Mekanic and Coleman watch it too, that's good roflmao

 

I'm not that into TV, but, I have heard rave reviews about this show. I will buy the DVDs soon I think.

I'm not sure what to compare it to, to give people an idea of what the show's like it's a breath of fresh air:confused

Imagine a show where your uptight law abiding teacher decided to become drug kingpin and the journey on his way to becoming one, what would happen if 'Jo nobody' was thrust into the hyper violent organised crime world.

This idea is what drew me to the show in the first place but it isn't a farce as you'd expect it to be, it's so well executed with lots of very dark humour.

Definitely not for kids and if your squeamish and don't like violence I'd take a pass, Soprano's has got nothing on it for violence.

Heard of Krokodil yet? Makes meth, and heroin look like child's play. Fair warning, it's effects are EXTREMELY graphic in nature.

And hey, just 'cause I know what Drano and aluminum foil can do, well, nevermind... :-D

The Guy and I are watching this on Netflix. We're about halfway into season three, and enjoying every moment. I'm actually glad to hear it ends after season five. Far too many shows drag it on and drag it out long after they should have called it quits. Much better to end on a high note and be remembered as one of the best.

 

Have never seen the show, but have heard it is good. Will have to check it out sometime.

I don't remember where I saw it, but it was a bunch of before and after pictures of meth heads. Scary stuff, they go downhill fast.

You can google 'meth addict before and after picts', and see them. That must be an amazingly addictive substance.

At least it's planned as well like Soprano's, not like so many other shows where one season ends with a cliffhanger leaving you to wonder for a year what's gonna happen then find out Fox or someone has audited all it's shows and cancelled them.

@Fred The reason I mentioned it was there's so little drug use in the show, you rarely if ever see anyone using the product which is the basis for the show, it's focused mainly on the business and production side.
