Hello all, I have found answers to problems here before and you people are a great help. I have a new problem. I am running windows xp home. I downloaded explorer 8 and and had immediate problems. I recieved an error message 0x009d4814 and could not connect to the internet, but email was fine, i use earthlink total access email. I restored my system to a previous date. IE worked then for 2 days then stopped, it comes up, starts to load and then closes immediately. I also can not access internet options through the control panel, but the rest of the control panel works fine. I installed firefox from a friend and it works fine. Please help. thanks

 

how about using Firefox for a better change!

 

i can not find internet explorer 7 or 8 in add/remove programs through control panel. it is not in the list but it is still on my machine?
it is listed when i do a search and contained in program folders.
i downloaded and ran cclean to delete files and fix registry errors.
i am at a total loss now.

 

oops i already did a cc cleaning. i will download IE8 from a friend tonite and try it. i already have IE7 saved to cd and on my flash drive
