Bridal Shower

Well guys...I'm off to my bridal shower this afternoon, which my step-daughter-to-be has organised

Anyone have any funny anecdotes from bridal showers/batchelorette parties they want to share? I'll let you in on mine when I get back

 

When they had a baby shower for my girl friend, something happened………..two hours into the three or four hour party, she went into labor, just three weeks early………but, I don’t think this is what your looking for………….have fun……..wobbles

 

What in God's name is a "bridal shower", apart from the obvious?

Same as a stag party but for the bride to be!

 

Thanks....had a wonderful time, and was totally undeservedly spoiled to the point of embarrassment.

It's not quite a stag party (batchelor party...whatever you wish to call it). It's more the tame event you can invited the MIL to and all the nieces/aunts etc, and they just spoil the bride rotten, showering her with gifts that pamper her. A few fun games and a celebratory cake seem the norm too (chocolate cake with raspberyy filling in this cake....yummyy!!!)

 

Thanks Halo....my new sis-in-law put together a basket full of english goodies so my stomach doesn't get home sick. Awesome! Just eating shortbread right now
