I have a problem with an AOL BROADBAND provided dsl modem. I can not figure out why this DSL Modem will not interact with a brand new out of the box Linksys Wireless G router configured to accept the connection with the right user name and password, along with all the right settings. It does work when the DSL modem is connected directly to a PC with a network cable, which is using the AOL software version 9.0 to connect to the internet.

Please somebody help me this DSL modem gives the PC a private IP adress when connected to via network cable yet the AOL software is still able to connect to the internet.
