Browser hijack - will system restore point help?

Hi,

I realise this is sort of a cross-over question but I'd really appreciate some help. My browser was hijacked yesterday and reset all my configurations and also tried to hook me up to some premium call provider.

My Norton virus scan is less than useful and I also downloaded Ad-Aware which didn't help either. Now, I know that there are loads of tools and things to remove browser hijacks but that'll take time and might not work entirely.

Right now my computer is in a mess and I need it to finish a project this week. So I'm looking at a radical solution here - I thought I'd do a system restore to a previous point (which I set several months ago). Now my question: Will this deal with the browser hijack/messed-up setting or should I do a full system restore?
