Browser Issues

So my browser when I click to go to other sites, will on occasion open new tabs or i'll get pop ups. Most of these pop ups and new tabs occur despite having an adblocker installed. Worse yet these pop ups and new tabs are occuring on sites that I have never had this issue with, with or without the adblocker.

I've run malwarbytes multiple times and cleaned my pc but the problem has persisted. I'm also getting text ads too where the ads embed themselves in text on a site, but only a single sites has had that issue. The problems I'm having seem to be coming from more than one adware, but the problem is, it's not consistent enough.

An example one site will do new tabs but that's it, another site will have ads embedded into the text, and yet another will have pop ups, but these issues seem limited to those specific sites for some reason.

I will say again that the sites I go to have never had these issues before and I've been using them for years now.

Could you post the browser and ad blocker you are using?

Maybe your adblocker needs to be updated. I use Ghostery and NoScript in Firefox, and they are updated regularly, but if Ghostery weren't, things would begin to creep through. That's because it works from a list of ad providers, and new ones seem to appear regularly. Actually, I have to kind of keep up with Ghostery while I am on the internet, because it doesn't automatically block the new ones the way I have it set up...

 

Adblock plus and comodo ice dragon. Ice dragon uses mozilla add ons for the most part and is compatible, but thing is the kind of stuff I'm seeing is stuff that would require malware on the comp possibly. Stuff like text enhance. Of course the particular ads I'm seeing seem to only happen on certain sites.

Comodo ice dragon is based of mozilla firefox from the ground up so most of the add ons firefox uses are also fully compatible with ice dragon.
