Browser Problems

Hi ,i`m having problems with all of my browsers working except for netscape which is my isp. I`ve tried all previous suggestions like checking for and getting rid of malware,deletiing and reinstallling browsers ,making sure the browsers are not firewalled but nothing is working.Any suggestions would be appreciated greatly.I also don`t understand why netscape8.0 works but not others.Internet explorer was working also until i updated it to latest version.I Get very frustrated with netscape ,the tabs disappear quite often and pages freeze up.I like mozilla firefox the best before it suddenly stopped working after having no problems previously.I thank everyone ahead of time for any assisstance and make your answers as easy as possible as i am very new to computing.

In my experience on this and other forums, 99.9% of the time the problem you have is a Firewall issue - even entries left behind by previously used Firewalls, or a disabled one can block programs.
Maybe you can run a program such as Process explorer and then post screenshots of it here so we can see for ourselves exactly what processes are running that might be blocking all but one of your browsers.
Also, please do tell us if you have *EVER* installed (and/or uninstalled) a Norton, Zone Alarms or any other Firewall.

i`ve never installed or uninstalled the above.Ijust downloaded process explorer as suggested but i don`t know how to post screenshots for you to view.

Just for clarification - is your system a commercial one, eg Dell, Gateway, PCWorld etc?
If it is then it definitely *did* have a Firewall installed.

OK well they generally come pre-installed with a free trial of Norton Internet Security and that includes a Firewall.
That's why it's important for us to see all the processes that are active - when you boot your system on - via screenshots of either Process Explorer or the enum process I linked to as well.

As i stated in one of my previous threads i downloaded process explorer but i don`t understand how to provide you weith screenshots.
