browser question

I use thunderbird as my browser. I joined netflix and to download movies to my computer I will have to use internet explorer. Can you have two browsers at the same time or will I have to cancel thunderbird.

Kestrel, many thanks for taking the time to respond. After I download internet explorer and keep my thunderbird, do I have to click on one or the other or do they just come up as needed. I will only want to use the explorer for netflix only.

 

You've been a great help for me. As is very clear, I know very little and I appreciate those who help me like you. It is especially nice when you take the time to explain in ways I can understand.

Now, that I have discovered this site, I don't panic when I totally don't know what to do because I know I can come here and get the help I need.

Never heard about browsers you are talking about... only IE I know. But I think you can have two ones at the same time. I use Firefox and IE

 

Then, set Firefox as your default browser. I'd guess you already have it set as default. You can tell by, for example, clicking on a link in an email message viewed in Outlook Express.

In other words, whichever browser is set as the default browser is the one that automatically responds to various commands requiring a browser window. But, this does not prohibit you from using another browser; just open that browser manually.
